Out of the Mouths of Babes

March 25, 2008

The Buffalo News reports that Steve Bernier’s teammates are giving him the quick rundown of the Buffalo / Ottawa series, since this is his first Ottawa game. Brawls and playoff knockouts aside, one of his teammates summed it up best:

“We hate those [expletive] guys.”

Ha! I want to know who made this comment. Any guesses?

  1. Hmmmmm, I’m gonna go with Stafford.

  2. I say Mair. For some reason I can just see im saying that.

  3. I could see it coming out of Peters’ mouth, with Goose a close second.

  4. Mair for sure. He REALLY hates those [expletive] guys.

Hmmm…now that I think about it, Roy seems like he might also have a little hate to throw around.

It’s an interesting question. Either way, should be a great game tonight.

  5. I’m gonna throw a curve ball and change my vote: I say it was Pommerdoodle.

  6. I’m gonna go with andrew and Roy-Z.

  7. I’m voting Crunchy. Because I can.

  8. I can’t see Pommers as the speaker. He’s too clean cut for those words to have left his mouth.

Crunchy’s also a likely suspect. As is Spacek for some reason.

  9. I KNOWWWW!!!!! They swore on camera. I was thinking Adam Mair because he hates Heatly A LOT. The whole killing his friend while drunk driving thing. No big.

  10. My money is on Crunchy, too.

  11. The whole killing his friend while drunk driving thing. No big.

I don’t want to get into it, really, but Heatley was not drunk. He was driving at a reckless speed, yes, but he was not drunk.

  12. That is SO funny! And awesome! I vote Goose. It really bugs me how people wrongly assume Danny Heatley was drunk.

  13. For what ever reason- I could almost see Ruff saying it. It’s rare footage, but remember last the Ottawa brawl when Ruff was on the bench yelling at Murray? He said something along the lines of ‘Go after Peters. Don’t go after our f—ing captain’
It makes sence. For the most part.

  14. Wait. No. I take taht back, it says ‘teammates’. But that might be a generic term to take the heat off the coaching staff. Wouldn’t it be great if it was Max or someone else who was super quite? Totally unexpeced, right?

  15. No, thats just what i’ve been told. I had no idea. But I know Adam Mair has made several remarks. He must feel really horrible though, it would be tough to deal with for Danny.

On a happier note, Miller would be up on the list for swearing :D

  16. I don’t know which one said it, but I TOTALLY agree with them!
